Visible is useful for gathering portfolio updates, maintaining company context, and preparing investor-facing reporting. The existing update process should remain familiar to founders when it is working well. Adding another layer is only justified if it reduces chasing or clarifies what happens after an update arrives.
Suppose a fictional monthly update includes cash, MRR, and a request for hiring help. Import the permitted update into Uranus. Review the values with their period and definitions; MRR remains distinct from monthly recognized revenue. Record the hiring support as a founder-approved request, assign an owner, and later attach evidence of the reviewed resolution. Keep attribution separate from the activity itself.
Visible’s documentation MCP serves documentation; it must not be presented as an authenticated customer-data connection. A customer API token is a separate access route with its own issuance and account permissions. Ask the authorized administrator or support contact for the appropriate export and API details. The current product provides a Visible guide and generic files, with no native Visible data sync. Compare the complete workflow with the team’s current Visible setup before assuming an additional workspace saves time.
A first import you can review
- Use an authorized export/Sheets workflow from the tenant or request API access from Visible support.
- Export metric definitions and dated values together; preserve frequency, units, company/profile IDs and custom-property definitions.
- Save the selected sheet as CSV only after checking periods, units and value types; review in Uranus.
What Uranus adds today
Review the mapping, units, currency, and reporting month before committing. New metrics remain candidates until a workspace owner reviews them. Preserve originals and source identifiers, keep the requested next evidence visible, and attach a reviewed resolution when the work is complete. Export canonical records and version history when you need to move the work again.
This is a proposed workflow based on public documentation, not a paid-account benchmark or a demonstrated performance improvement. Verify the actual entitlement, export schema, and effective permissions with the firm’s administrator. Native formats require customer fixtures before claiming automatic compatibility.
